by Vincent L, 8 days agoCBF is a rare gem in the crowded, often sketchy Firefox Add-ons Marketplace.
It does exactly what it should in a smart, practical way and works flawlessly. The optional Regex gives it a lot more power than you'd expect at first glance. The entire project is on GitHub too.
Highly recommended. I'd have no problem paying for it, but even better that it's free!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16864541, a month agoThis is the only extension I have tried that actually works. The bookmarked website I was visiting did not provide its own favicon, and would only display a “Missing favicon placeholder” on my bookmarks toolbar. I used this "CBF" extension to create a favicon to my liking for the site on my bookmarks toolbar. Good Job & well done Alexa Schor!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Joey, 2 months agokinda baffled this exists 4 days after i even thought about looking into it, So far it's not giving me the correct links that i add to my new shortcut(only gives me a stupid long url that just links to this site), nor does it effect my current bookmarks but this is a much needed addon so i wish you the best and look forward to future updates.
PS: I got this for my Github bookmark because i use a theme extension that changes the theme depending on the contents, My start page though is dark and thus I cannot see the Github icon and i don't have a label on it.Developer responseposted 2 months agoThank you for your review and feedback! I sent out an update a few days ago that I believe should fix the tab favicon changing? But please let me know if it doesn't, either here or at the contact email I added to the description.
For bookmarks, you currently have to click the "Create Bookmark" button to make a new one; it doesn't update existing ones but I can add that to the to-do list. When you mention that the long URL (should be 0xa.click/...) links to this site, do you mean to this add-on page? I'm not getting that behavior on my machine but I'd be very curious to hear what's happening on yours so I can fix it.
