- Rated 1 out of 5by Matty D, 8 years agoInterrupts me while working to have me join their website. That is an automatic deletion in my book. Also, if you are a savvy shopper, then you probably already have the lowest price, this add-in didn't help me at all
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13356523, 8 years agoI would download it, but it you are giving it permission to access your payment methods on sites you use it on. No thanks!
- Rated 1 out of 5by MooTaters, 8 years agoSlows to the point that it freezes, it continues to eat as much ram as it can. I had to end task just to reopen and remove it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by WDB94904, 8 years agoThis thing will slow your computer to a crawl. And when you click on the Honey icon you just get a bunch of discount codes that are completely irrelevant to what you were shopping for.
- Rated 1 out of 5by tko_designs, 8 years agoMy experience was it installed ads in my browser, and showed no interactive functionality while browsing products.
Ends up being more of a coupon catalog than a bargain assistant. - Rated 1 out of 5by Anne, 8 years agoIt says on facebook that you can get items cheaply. There is one item I want to look at, and I cannot. App is not user friendly
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13043244, 8 years agoThe reviews about the lag are no joke, it's freaking horrible. I'm guessing it's b/c it adds 250 plus coupon codes as a tab that ya have no option to turn off.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13183472, 8 years agoI've had Honey for about 6 months and so far I've gotten no discounts.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Cyph1n, 8 years agoI like the idea of this addon, but seems to slow down your browsing experience. Which would be fine as you can just disable it and re-enable it as needed, but the reason for the one star and me uninstalling it is because none of the codes ever work.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13215077, 8 years agoGreat concept, but it will slow your browsing experience. I started experiencing freezes and lagging and after a few weeks I uninstalled it. My browsing experience afterwards has been much better. Would try again if this issue was resolved.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Geoff, 8 years agoI spent hours trying to figure out why Firefox was so slow, then eventually I was disabling all my add ons one at a time, and once I disable Honey my speed jumped right back up. Love what this does, but I can't live with the slowness.
- Rated 1 out of 5by TheBracha, 8 years agoI try to buy prints at Walgreens, I put in my good discount code and then "Honey" pops up and replaces it with a less valuable code and there is no way to go back and eliminate the bad discount. "Honey" sucks.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Reese, 8 years agoI've had this for months and it hasn't given me a single code that has actually worked to save me anything. I shop online frequently on sites such as Amazon, eBay, SportChek, and more. While this add-on has great potential, I've found that it's currently nothing but useless and annoying. It just keeps popping up and wasting my time whenever I go on a shopping site.
- Rated 1 out of 5by rik, 8 years agoSounds like a good idea. However, in signing up I kept being asked to provide my email address. Which I did, correctly, over and over. I'm no longer surprised when something on the internet is just aggravating.
- Rated 1 out of 5by MetalgodZ, 8 years agoInstalled after seeing a friend's positive experiences with it, and did a little testing to see what it could save. As far as saving money goes, it works quite well for several popular sites.
Immediately after installing, however, the performance of the browser slowed to a crawl. Changing tabs took forever, loading tabs took twice as long, and anything relying on a plugin (Flash, Java, other) would hang the browser and the entire computer for as long as 5 minutes. I tried closing tabs (I usually run with two windows and 120+ tabs open), but this had no effect. I'm running Mac OS, so I pulled open a terminal and ran top, sorted for CPU and RAM, and found nothing increased from prior to the install. I then cleared all temp files, disabled all plugins (Honey, Noscript, Self Destructing Cookes, uBlock Origin, and Tab Counter), and then enabled them all one at a time, leaving Honey for last.
Enabling Honey reduced the performance of the browser immediately to a crawl, and disabling it immediately restored the performance.
Between the privacy implications of the plugin (http://www.novatexsolutions.com/blog/v/honey-is-watching-you/) and the performance issues, I will be at least leaving the plugin disabled except while checking out. If I continue to have performance issues, I'll just uninstall it entirely. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13002555, 8 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by ahero4heor, 9 years agoRead the title, it says it all! Wonderful when it works, but it doesn't at the moment
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12555391, 9 years agoIt comes up in the process of making a purchase. I run it - and it pops up again when I move to the next screen in the purchase process. I don't think it has ever credited me actual points, and although it does show some points, it is less than a dollar. Hardly worth the effort. I can find codes on my own.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Keyslapper, 9 years agoStopped working. After the FF 52 update on Fedora, FF started taking several minutes to start up and always reported some script failure. I couldn't track it down then, but when I finally disabled Honey (this was the only one I disabled) everything started moving smooth and snappy again.
- Rated 1 out of 5by rootkr, 9 years agoThis add-on did save me a few dollars, but at the expense of slowing the browser down to a crawl. I could not figure out why everything was slow in Firefox, even thought it was my internet. (Hardly this at 85 Mbps Up/Down) I then thought to uninstall the add-on as I had recently installed it and boom! Firefox was back to its speedy ways. Stay far away if you enjoy not growing old waiting on pages to load.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12685121, 9 years agoI dont even care if it works, as it appears most or all positive reviews for it are completely not authentic & obvious about it. Wish Mozilla would remove addons like this that violate tons of rules & is generally unethical, evil & scammy. :/
- Rated 1 out of 5by maxresist, 9 years agoHoney worked for awhile and then stopped working entirely. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. When it worked it was a great tool to have but, at this point I'm a bit disappointed.
