by Firefox user 16248181, 5 years agoI can not understand why I need to install addon to use Firefox Relay. It can be server-side solution, no need to install addons essentially. No explanation/justification was displayed when I registered myself to Firefox Relay. I felt like I am forced to install unnecessary addons. I trust Mozilla and I believe this addon does not collectt our user data. That is why I installed this addon. I will not if other service provider requests me to same thing.

posted 5 years agoIn order to discover the fields within a page in which the user can enter an email address so that we could autofill them, we needed to extend the functionality of the Firefox browser. Since Relay is new and in Beta and we wanted a mechanism to deliver updates and fixes quickly, the best route for us to deliver the browser side portion of Relay was through an add-on. In the future, we may include that Relay functionality in the Firefox browser so a separate add-on is not necessary. Relay can be used without the add-on (for example with a non-Firefox browser) by visiting the relay.firefox.com site and copy and pasting email aliases into the email address fields.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Lilith D. Bracken, 19 days agoFirefox Relay is a really useful tool for protecting your email and privacy. It lets you create email aliases that forward to your real inbox, so you can sign up for websites without sharing your personal address. It helps reduce spam and keeps your real email safer from hackers. Simple to use, works automatically, and makes managing online accounts much more secure.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13690719, 2 months agoI've been using Mozilla and DuckDuckGo privacy services for years, and subscribing when that is available. Mozilla and DDG are both doing a great job protecting our privacy and our inboxes. A fan of both, I have to say that Mozilla have nailed this one - it is so simple, so transparent and so well-integrated into online workflows. I've seen the complaints of others - domain denied, no amazon login, ... - and can report that at least today these are no longer issues. Great job, Mozilla!!

- Rated 2 out of 5by majesticmini, 3 months agoI so favor how you mask users' email addresses, but when will you let us remove the command icon beside filling in any email address? The tab key is much easier when your command icon is not aligned with it. Please provide the option for a better rating.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Mark Phire, 3 months agoIt's something good to be able to block your e-mail address, but some websites give an error message that says "this domain is not allowed". But also others can use it for spam and block their e-mail address as well.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Błażej, 3 months agoMy mail uses my surname so I don't wanna use it when logging on some stuff that I don't know if I can trust, that's why I'm grateful mozilla for making this addon. It may not work on every site because sites like blocking mails other than Gmail, Outlook etc. but there's nothing we can do about that.
