Information We Do NOT Collect

How We Use Your Information

Product Analysis

When you click the "Should I Buy It?" button on an Amazon product page:

1. The extension extracts product data from the page
2. This data is sent to our backend API
3. Our AI processes the data and generates recommendations
4. The analysis is returned to you and cached locally for 4 hours

Usage Tracking

Your anonymous UUID is used to:

• Count how many analyses you've performed this week
• Enforce the 10 analyses per week free tier limit
• Reset your usage count every 7 days

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage (Your Browser)

• User preferences
• Cached product analyses (4-hour expiration)
• Anonymous user ID (UUID)
• Usage statistics

Backend Storage (Our Servers)

• Anonymous user ID
• Usage count (number of analyses this week)
• Installation date
• No product data is permanently stored

• No passwords or credentials are ever transmitted

• No long-term storage of analyzed product data

Third-Party Services

• Purpose: Process product data with AI and return recommendations
• Data Shared: Product information from pages you choose to analyze, anonymous UUID

No Other Third Parties

We do NOT share your data with:

Your Rights and Choices

Data You Control
- Clear Cache: Clear your browser's extension data to delete cached analyses
- Reset Usage: Uninstall and reinstall to get a new UUID (new user identity)
- Opt-Out: Simply don't use the extension, or uninstall it

Data Deletion
To delete all data associated with your usage:

1. Uninstall the SiBi extension
2. Local data (cache, UUID) is automatically deleted
3. Backend usage data becomes orphaned (no way to link it to you)
4. Email us at omprakash.blink42@gmail.com if you want backend data deleted

Permissions Explained

Storage Permission
Purpose: Store user preferences and cached analyses locally
Usage: Saves settings and recent analysis results in your browser

ActiveTab Permission
Purpose: Read product information from the Amazon page you're viewing
Usage: Extracts product title, price, reviews, specs when you click "Analyze"

Host Permissions (Amazon domains)
Purpose: Inject our UI and access product data on Amazon pages
Usage: Adds the SiBi button to Amazon product pages

We only access pages you're actively viewing. We do NOT track your browsing history.

Children's Privacy
SiBi is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Data Retention
- Local Cache: 4 hours (automatically deleted)
- Usage Statistics: 7 days (rolling window for weekly limits)
- User UUID: Until extension uninstall
- Product Data: Not permanently retained

International Users
Our backend is hosted on global cloud infrastructure. By using SiBi, you consent to the transfer of your data (anonymous UUID and product information) to servers that may be located outside your country.
