by Varniit, a year agoIf you are using Firefox on desktop or any other Gecko-based Firefox browser like Zen browser, or Floorp browser or Librewolf browser, and not using Sidebery extension, then you are missing a lot.
Purely a horsepower experience for someone who uses it for office work and has tabs over 300 open and rarely closes them for months.
Used it for years and but never took out a time to review or even rate it so here it is.
Hey, dev, you rock.
Keep updating and improve the icon of the addon here and on the extension tab, as it unrecognizable on the bar once any other theme is used.
A little bit of additions of more fonts of the tabs in the side bar and a better display ratio under appearance for font size would be great.
Since Firefox doesn't have any tab suspension or tab hibernation option in-built like Chrome 130 has, it would be great something like that sort is considered without re-activating the tab on browser restart or tab visit (see tab suspender addon on chrome and it settings). Very much needed as Firefox consumes too much of data and memory of such usages as compared to other browsers.
Also, the tab count number is unreadable since it is not differentiated from the background color. Try to enhance it and make it readable.
And, cloud backup with Firefox account and exactly restoring on another device or reinstalling if anything happens to the existing browser on which this addon installed would be a charm.
Thanks, dev and keep it up.
You make using Firefox and Firefox-based browser usable in a better way even what Google Chrome cannot in 2024-25.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Manu, 2 months agoAwesome organizing addon, lots of options to set it up perfectly to overcome what Firefox lacks. Recently coming from the Chromium world after a long journey there, I forgot how underdeveloped Firefox can be, but addons like this are here to fix that and more, make it even better. Great job!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Kostenzer, 2 months agoSince the feedback here is quit good, I stayed at 3 stars. I didn't manage to use this ad-on or find a manual. This made me to uninstall this ad-on. I regret knowing how to use Sidebery

- Rated 1 out of 5by MartinThomas, 3 months agoThere is no help page, no beginners guide, nothing. It took me a lot of trial and error to do anything at all and have no idea how to get it to handle bookmarks.
I searched the web for a beginners guide but found nothing.
If I ever find such a guide, I may give it another try. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19201790, 3 months agoAn absolute must have. This is a game changer.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Fridah, 3 months agoThe single most important usability addon Ive ever encountered! I am quite stoked that Firefox will bring Treestyles to the native Browser.
I encountered some quirks with the Addon sometimes, like after closing hundreds of Tabs that the "x" button of a tab doesnt work any longer and you got to restart the browser,
or the quirk that if you restore a previous session due to accidently closing the window, that all the temporary container tabs are sitting ducks without the tmp-container wrapped around them - the tabs than need to be relaunched in a new created tab that hosts a tmp-container.
But despite that, I never lost any tab or anything!
Great addon - and my goto on every machine since ever!
With some usercss you can even get rid of the tab-bar, which is great to save vertical space and make use of wasted pixels for website content!
I still prefer Sideberry over the native Firefox "Vertical Tab" feature: It takes less space, allows for grouping, better shows grouped tabs, allows for colors, and actually has so many settings that you will be overwhelmed at first!
Many thanks! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17942002, 3 months ago
